Hi, My name is Chris from Melbourne Australia. I have been meditating for a little while now. I discovered mindfulness meditation a couple of years ago and have used it as a way of helping to deal with significant illness that resulted in me having to give up work. I am still unable to work but my meditation practise has really helped with what I have to deal with. I am always looking to expand my practise with greater knowledge. Day 1 of the Summit today was amazing – really looking forward to day2!

Hi, I am Luis, from Venezuela.
Welcome everyone to the experience. This is my first approach to Mindfulness, and I find it quite interesting, because it seems it can connect us to the real present, which it´s the only real time that exists. This summit seems very promising in order to provide us tools to achieve a more loving life experience. Thanks for being there.
Cheers.
Hi, I’m Eileen in Texas USA – happy to have access to all these inspiring speakers. *Metta* (loving-friendship) to you all: may we be happy, may we be peaceful, may we be well.

Hi I am Cássia, from São Paulo, Brazil. I am excited to be part of this community and participate in this summit. I want to learn more about mindfullness, love and empathy, to help people get relief from pain and lack of hope, to help people develop themselves and improve their relationships, because I believe this is the beginning of change for a better world.
I am from Australia. I have a yoga practice and see the clearest opportunity for observing myself is in my relationships. The closer the relationship, the more expectations I have of myself and the other. The more pain. The more opportunity to cultivate helpful qualities. I look forward to seeing and hearing the application of traditional time-tested wisdom to our relationships today. Together we can be part of the evolution of human consciousness.
Sara from Colorado, ??

Hi, excited about the event. The timing is great. Hope you can address issues related to space. When one person loves/needs constant togetherness while another has loves/need for personal space

I live near Baltimore, MD. This afternoon was first time I could access the site and the two introductory videos have me anxious to get started. I have enjoyed reading many of the other participants postings and find it exciting to see the world wide profile of participants…just wish I had been able to be on from the start! I look forward in the next five days to spending time focused on Mindfulness and Relationships. I hope to apply what I learn specifically to my relationship with husband, family and close friends. I am struggling right now and feeling very alone.
So happy to be in this community of earnest people. What a beautiful family this is! Love, from Corvallis, Oregon
Greetings from PBG, FL; looking forward to this event!
Looking forward to this summit. I am from Canada (usually Ontario but currently in Edmonton). I have been on my mindfulness path for 11 years, but still have so much to learn. Relationships are so complicated, but I am beginning to appreciate the importance of being able to step outside of my past so that I can be in the moment and really listen to the other person. I am also working on choosing how I will react, before I knee jerk react. That is truly difficult. I look forward to all of your thoughts and ideas!
I am amazed and grateful to be in the company of so many open-hearted people from around the world. I am in a 7-year life-cycle transition and could say that I have NO IDEA what the next phase of life will present, but the truth is more likely that my inner knowing already knows. I look forward to touching in to that place with you all – and thank you for our generous teachers and their offerings.
A new friend from Shambhala online course has connected me with this event. There is no accident in life. I am new the Buddhism and its wisdom. I am from Quebec, Canada and this new inspiration in my life is bringing great joy as I feel less alone everyday as I meet people that have taken this same path of reconnecting with Earth.
I live in Mexico, I´m an english language teacher esl. I´m very excited to be part of this event and can´t wait to put it into practice in my life. I practice yoga and meditation.
I’m Rebecca I’m in Ontario Canada.
I am looking forward to practicing mindfulness.
Hi! I’m Brian (and not “Brain”, as I mistakenly wrote earlier!) and I live in the Midwest (United States). I’ve been a practicing Buddhist for about 8 years, and have emphasized mindfulness and Insight Meditation through Gil Fronsdal (at IMC). I’ve found my studies to be helpful and I feel that I have truly discovered who I am (someone imperfect and impermanent); however, through the course of my study, and the changes that evolved, my relationship fell apart — my spouse and I realized our differences. I’m recently separated and I’m hoping to learn more about relationships, both romantic and otherwise.
Brian, thank you for sharing so honestly. It’s sad when a marriage dissolves, although it’s important to really see when the energy has left the relationship. When that happens, staying together “burns your own internal circuits” and freeing each other to find a relationship that is fulfilling for both is kind, even loving. My heart goes out to you in this. When my own marriage ended after over 30 years, I realized what a disservice it had been to remain together long past when it was over. Best of luck to you.
